Help Us Get to $60K
Thanks to your tremendous generosity and support we’re expanding our goal!
Initially, crowdsourcing via Fractured Atlas was a way to allow folks who came to see our show in the Philly Fringe to chip in a few bucks to help us make it to Scotland. We therefore set our goal at $10,000 (which is less than 1/6th of our proposed overall Edinburgh Fringe Festival budget). But, due to the tremendous outpouring of support we’ve already received, we’re expanding our goal to encompass the totality of that budget.
We also wanted to provide transparency to our donors about what exactly these funds will go towards. Here’s a breakdown:
Travel, Housing, Venue
Roundtrip flight to Edinburgh: approx. $1,500 x 14 artists (6 actors, stage manager, production assistant, 2 line producers, director, choreographer, lighting designer, production manager/sound designer) = $21,000
Housing: approx. $5,000 per full-contract artist x 10 artists = $50,000 approx. $1,500 per creative x 4 = $6,000
Upfront Venue Costs: $9,000
Total: $86,000
Payroll
Actor Salary: 6 actors x 5 weeks = $28,292
Creative/Production Team Salary: $11,755 (ASM, Director, Choreographer, Lighting Designer)
Total: $40,047
Marketing
Total: $10,000 (fliers, posters, social media, publicist)
GRAND TOTAL: $136,047 + Contingency (10%): $13,605 ACTUAL TOTAL: $149,652
Slipper Trout Half of Total Budget: $74,826
These numbers reflect our closest approximation of costs and those costs will be shared by our producing partners at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Because our final budget will also be offset by box office sales from The Philly Fringe and funds remaining from our initial budget, we’ve decided to set our new goal at $60,000.
Support from people like you has allowed us to create a joyful, silly, and heartfelt play. Please consider making a donation today to help us spread that joy on an international scale at the Edinburgh Fringe. Check out the trailer for a look at what we've made, and feel free to share this with fellow theatre and comedy lovers. We can’t do this next step without you, and would love for you to be a part of the journey!
