Greetings Soluq Supporters!
If you follow us, you'll remember that last year, in lieu of a typical end-of-year ask, we took a hard look around and realized that instead of taxing an already depleted community, we would give what we could to help people through the darkest of hours. This year, as the world opens up to present performance companies like Soluq, we are asking fo ryour support so we can move into the next year strong and supporter. Soluq Dance has broken through many barriers, created, taught, and touched the lives of more people than we ever thought possible. Despite the COVID 19 pandemic, we've managed to create and share our vision with all of you, our supporters. We can certainly do a LOT with a little, and now is the time for us to ask for your support once more.
Our Goal of $5000 will go directly toward:
- Supporting our dedicated, world-class dancers for rehearsals and performances.
- Bringing our latest work, | BENT |, to festivals and shows all over the world.
- Supporting OPEN SOURCE, Soluq's no cost offering to dancers in the community who need a place to train, explore, and grow. Many dancers lost their livelihood and support during the pandemic, and consistent training not only keeps dancers growing, but keeps them safe in the rigorous world of performance. With most studios increasing prices on classes, OPEN SOURCE has been a critical offering for those most at risk.
- Keeping Soluq COVID safe and compliant, to reduce the spread and rehearse in a safe and supportive way
- General support to keep the company moving!
Some perspective on what we can do with your support:
$25 - One day of rehearsal covered! $50 - A portion of your favorite dancers salary! $75 - Tech-ing our latest show, | BENT | for 2021's upcoming outdoor performances! $100 - Our amazing lighting designer's hourly fee covered! $200 - Help us bring our humanitarian work inspired by stories and testimony from the Holocaust, ASH, back to life on the stage for 2021. $500 - Help us reach new audiences through more collaborations, workshops, and outreach. $ any amount - Support us as we continue the rigor, research, vulnerability and generosity that is central to the work of Soluq.
We do what we do thanks to your generous support. We know times are especially tough right now, so we promise take your support as far we can to give people hope, light up their hearts, and enrich their souls in these dark and troubled times.
