I'm Michael Poll. I'm a classical guitarist and a conductor. I want to change the way that music gets made.

My dream is that live music, which has so greatly improved my life, be at the center of our shared society.

I want to harness the power of collaboration to create communities in which every school, library, and hub can present live music. Music unites us across cultural differences; it brightens and enriches our lives.

If we are able to fund music not just by concert tickets and record-sales, we are able to increase access to this miraculous art form, and make sure that all people, young and old, can share in its riches.

I pledge to donate 10 concerts per year without fee to community organizations. Every 700 we raise makes an additional charitable performance possible. When we have more support than hours that I can perform, your generosity will go towards supporting other artists to join me on this mission.

Changes to an industry often begin with one project. The Kickstarter campaign to launch 7-String Bach (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/282032772/the-bach-project-bachs-lute-music-for-7-string-gui/description) broke fundraising records, and it has now been streamed over a million times.
