As Covid-19 has displaced many from their traditional careers, sex work has skyrocketed for better or worse. It is crucial to create a space where the representation of survival in the sex industry is recognized. We’re here to represent how women sex workers are simply women at work; whether they work to survive or to fund the lifestyle they desire, it should not matter.

In this narrative film, we jump into Jade and Effy’s lives, two women who exist in a paradox of achieving authenticity while living in a materialistic world. In their time of desperation for money, they battle through the male gaze, desires, intimacy, and mass media while relying on their community.

Often, our ideas of the people we've never met are harsher than reality. We want to use this film as an opportunity to raise awareness of stigmas and stereotypes of women facing everyday challenges within a materialistic world.

Did you know?

We are currently recruiting an all-inclusive crew! In this male-dominated industry, we want to uplift the sex working community AND every woman, nonbinary, and person of color involved within the filmmaking industry.

Women in Hollywood & NYWIFT reports that “[Top grossing films] from 2019 Independent films still employ more than twice as many men as women (68% vs. 32%) as directors, writers, producers, executive producers, editors, and cinematographers.”

Your aid would help us give equal pay for the cast and crew’s time and efforts for pre-production, production, and post-production. Along with payment towards film festivals, panel discussions, and bringing our film screenings to life!

Every donation will receive a thank you letter and a special thank you credit line in our film. As we plan forward to shoot in early May, rewards will come this summer (June/July 2021).
