When Matthew, an autistic man, looks for places to meet new people, he finds the perfect spot down the street from where he works that’s quiet with no stimulation whatsoever — a gay bar. Spectrum brings two unlikely communities together in this new musical comedy about neurodivergence, adulthood, and what it truly takes to make a connection.
We're looking to you to help us finance Spectrum's development this year. This development includes demo recordings, rewrites, all culminating in an industry workshop that we plan to present this year to industry leaders. Your support not only funds our eventual production but also employs many trans, queer, neurodivergent, and disabled artists that we employ on stage and off.
For the past two years, crowdfunding has been our number 1 source of income for our artists and has helped us develop readings and our most recent concert reading at Green Room 42 that allowed us to be finalist and semifinalists in many theatre residencies. It's audiences like you who have given us the spark to keep going and create an inclusive queer and neurodivergent musical that speaks to us, not just about us. Queer and neurodivergent people deserve joy now more than ever and even a small amount can be such a radical act.
So this holiday season, if you're looking to give back to the communities most effected by this year, considering donating here.
