We are excited to announce that
STARCADIA will be remounted as an Off-Broadway limited engagement at MASQUERADE, the home of the immersive revival of
The Phantom of the Opera.
Late at night, when the final echoes of the Phantom fade and the shuttered halls of the opera house go dark, another story begins to stir. Somewhere within the walls of Masquerade, a portal is opening. This portal leads to STARCADIA.
Guests will enter Masquerade’s Lake Bar (at 218 W 57th Street) beginning at 10:00pm, where they may enjoy a drink before The Starpeople beckon them through the portal and into the darkness. Equipped with nothing but a flashlight, human visitors will explore an otherworldly realm, relying on their own curiosity and the natural glow of The Starpeople for navigation. When it is time, The Starpeople will gather all of their visitors in an opulent ballroom for a grand storytelling experience—one that they crossed the universe to share. This is their musical tale of a rare planetary alignment. It’s a story that’s true, and in a way, it’s about you.
STARCADIA will run nightly
October 7-10, with all showtimes at 10:30pm.
Tickets will go on sale on August 31 at WelcomeToStarcadia.com.
See Humans is independently producing this production at Masquerade, and we could use your help making it happen in all its cosmic splendor. If achieved, we feel confident that the experience could transfer to a longer term Off-Broadway run, opening the portal to a wider audience. If you have the means to donate, we are trying to raise $8,000 to cover the pre-production costs. We are able to accept tax deductible donations through our fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas.
