R&J’s Fashion Show, set for October 25, 2025, in Liberty City, Miami, is a vibrant celebration of community talent and resilience, born from the Street Network’s grassroots efforts through BBQs, clothing drives, and gatherings that unite people. Led by JJ, who rebuilt his life through filmmaking after experiencing homelessness, and Reesee, a lifelong Liberty City advocate with over 20 years of mentorship and outreach, this event is a key part of the Street Network’s commitment to uplifting underemployed residents. Over the next two months, the Street Network is hosting community events, including car washes, recycling programs, and talent shows, to drive economic and social empowerment. With fiscal sponsorship from Fractured Atlas, funds raised go directly to support Liberty City residents and Miami-based vendors, ensuring meaningful impact.
Mission
The Street Network’s mission is to empower Liberty City’s underemployed residents with paid opportunities, vital essentials (food, clothing, housing), and wellness support (healthcare, mental health, rehab). R&J’s Fashion Show, happening during Miami Fashion Week, features 20 local models, artists, and performers, many overlooked by mainstream industries, showcasing their talent on a global stage. Paying them for their work fosters pride and opportunity.
The event transitions into a lively Bazaar and BBQ, where local artisans sell jewelry, upcycled fashion, merch, and food vendors share community flavors, amplifying Liberty City’s culture and creating income. Supporting events like a car wash on August 30, 2025, rally community and business support, while recycling programs offer paid jobs and promote sustainability, and talent shows provide performers platforms to shine, enriching the community’s creative ecosystem.
