and her Children is an award-winning one-woman play coming to Off-Broadway at SoHo Playhouse as part of the 2026 International Fringe Encore Series. After a highly successful run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, the production has been invited to New York for a limited engagement of 21 performances from January 14 to February 13.

We are currently raising $20,000 USD to bring the show from Los Angeles to New York. Thanks to early supporters, we are already two-thirds of the way toward our goal, and community support is essential to help carry us across the finish line.

While the International Fringe Encore Series provides a complimentary theater rental and housing for artists, this fundraising campaign supports the remaining costs of presenting the production in New York, including artist fees, travel, production costs, marketing, and press. These funds make it possible to share the work with New York audiences and industry members and to support the next life of the piece.

and her Children reimagines Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children through a contemporary American lens, centering on a charismatic spokesperson for the NRA forced to reckon with her beliefs after a mass shooting carried out by her own son. The play examines gun culture, grief, motherhood, and complicity with urgency and clarity.

The gun lobby spends millions to block change, with the NRA and its allies pouring over $13 million into federal lobbying in 2023 alone. Your donation is a direct investment in helping close that advocacy gap and in putting safety at the center of the conversation.

and her Children is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, and as such, all donations are tax-deductible. Every contribution, at any level, helps bring this production to the stage and supports its continued life beyond New York.

We hope you’ll consider being part of this next step for the show.
