Who We Are
We are creating a space for older, women-identifying writers to hear and see their new work produced, especially those plays dealing with contemporary America and it's many social issues. We are proud to introduce you to our first production:

The Bronze Boy is a new play written by Nancy Hamada that takes the audience to the heart of America and its complex relationship with guns. It speaks to all of us about love, loss, and how, or if, we can come back from the unbearable.

We are extremely excited to be premiering The Bronze Boy at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, one of the greatest celebrations of arts and culture in the world! 

Fidelis Spector, a once successful television actress who walked away from her career after her only child, Jessie, was murdered by a school shooter, joins her late son’s best friend, Taylor Criss, a survivor of the same shooting, on a journey from New Jersey to Chicago.  Coming along on the road trip is The Bronze Boy, a statue of Jessie, which Taylor created for Fedelis and which Fedelis never lets out of her sight.  Unbeknownst to Fedelis, Taylor is also smuggling a large bag of illegal guns for “something big” she has planned.

The show will go into rehearsals in late June, have previews in July in NYC and then will be at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Aug 2nd-24th, 2024

What's Up Next
Award-winning playwright Nicole Greevy's play, currently in development (working title, "The Cabin Play,") which explores the question, what happens when the Left begins to use the same tactics as the Right? A look at the hypocrisy around the issue of abortion in the USA, and at what point the political must become personal.

We are raising $80,000 for the world premiere of The Bronze Boy in Edinburgh, summer 2024, and a staged reading of "The Cabin Play" for 2025 in NYC.
