The Collective Troupe’s Cabaret Gala + Creative Future Fund
We’re thrilled to invite you to our very first Cabaret Gala—an immersive evening where poetry, music, dance, theatre, visual art, and even Rockstar Tarot converge to spark connection, ignite curiosity, and offer a shared moment of creativity. This gala is more than a launch—it’s a gathering. A chance to meet, dream, and create alongside our ensemble of artists, creators, and collaborators committed to reimagining how stories are told and who gets to tell them.
But the Cabaret Gala is just the beginning. With your support, The Collective Troupe will continue to challenge classic texts, amplify original voices, and produce bold, inclusive performances that invite audiences into the process of creation. Together, we’ll build a sustainable future for theatre that is immersive, collaborative, and community-driven—ensuring that the next generation of storytellers has the space, resources, and freedom to shape the tomorrow we want to see, today.
Introduction We’re The Collective Troupe—an ensemble of artists reimagining how stories are told and who gets to tell them. We challenge classic texts and amplify original voices through immersive, inclusive performance. This Indiegogo supports our launch event—the Cabaret Gala—and helps us build a future of sustainable, collaborative art.
The Problem Or “The Opportunity” We're in a cultural moment where underrepresented voices are finally starting to take center stage—but sustaining that momentum requires infrastructure, imagination, and community. Too often, bold new work still struggles to find resources, and artists are expected to conform to outdated models that no longer serve today’s world. The Collective Troupe exists to challenge that system—by creating platforms for boundary-pushing, inclusive, and community-driven performance.
Our Solution The Collective Troupe exists to shape the future of theatre—right now. Rooted in collaboration, experimentation, and care, we produce immersive events, reimagine classic works, and elevate bold new voices. We launched with The Broadcast—a daring one-act written and directed by AM Sannazzaro, starring Lindsay Plake—which was met with powerful responses and affirmed our vision. Now, we’re building on that momentum. Our upcoming Cabaret Gala is more than a fundraiser—it’s a vibrant artistic welcome to the community we’re growing, together.
How the Funds Will Be Used Your donation will help us:
- Host the Cabaret Gala, our immersive community launch event
- Support our ensemble of artists with fair stipends and development resources
- Cover foundational costs for our season: rehearsal spaces, licensing, community partnerships, and more
The Team Founded by AM Sannazzaro and Matthew Shaffer, The Collective Troupe is an evolving ensemble of storytellers, musicians, dancers, visual artists, and collaborators. Together, we believe that the arts must reflect—and shape—the communities we serve.
Risks & Challenges As a new company, we face the same challenges all grassroots arts organizations do: fundraising, logistics, and resource limitations. But we are flexible, committed, and deeply supported by our collaborators. Any setbacks will be met with transparency, adaptability, and creativity.

Meet Our Special Guest Artists for the Cabaret Gala:
Kristen Silva – Visual Artist & Coffee Painter
Kristen Silva is a Los Angeles–based visual artist whose signature medium is coffee, which she approaches with the depth and control of watercolor. Her work transforms an everyday ritual into a powerful artistic language, creating portraits and compositions layered with warmth, texture, and emotional resonance. By embracing the organic qualities of coffee—the stains, tones, and unexpected flows—Kristen invites viewers into spaces where imperfection becomes beauty, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary. “I paint with coffee like it’s water color on paper. It was a total accident.”
Nicelle Davis – Multidisciplinary Poet & Performer
Nicelle Davis is a California-based poet, performer, writer, and instructor whose work flows freely across mediums—video, performance, poetry, and publications—to explore themes from feminist identity and poverty to collaboration and environmental justice. She leads The Living Poetry Project, bringing poetry into unexpected everyday moments—like hiding verses in pockets or burning lines into wood—to spark community, surprise, and reflection. Her poetic books—Circe, Becoming Judas, In the Circus of You, The Walled Wife—showcase her layered craft, and her upcoming Penguin Noir won a prize and debuts in summer 2025.
Th3 Artist B3ach – Songwriter, Rapper & Singer
Th3 Artist B3ach brings a vibrant fusion of island rhythms and urban flows to songwriting, rap, and singing. Her music, featured on streaming platforms, blends laid-back tropes with dynamic energy—and she also extends her creativity into collaborations with films and plays.
Mary DeLorenzo-Woods – Creator of the Rockstar Tarot
Mary DeLorenzo-Woods is the Los Angeles–based mixed-media artist behind the Rockstar Tarot, a 78-card deck that marries iconic music archetypes with the ancient language of tarot through original collage art and a full-color 169-page guidebook. With 15 years of tarot-reading experience, her deck offers a blend of music, magic, plants, and folklore—infused with her Italian-American heritage, roots in folk herbalism, and poetic sensibilities.
