MUM's the word!

We are super excited that The Mommas are headed to Scotland for the epic Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

We will be performing at the beautiful Greenside @ Riddler's Court in the adorable Pickle Studio. This is a historic venue on the Royal Mile, steps from the castle. None other than King James himself has held court there. And Dame Maggie Smith has graced the stage. How cool is that?!?! Our 7:30 time slot is pretty epic, too.

Our amazing momsemble of actors are going to perform the heartfelt and hilarious play about motherhood: Stretchmarks! This play, written by 4 moms in 2003, takes you on a journey of laughter, tears, and a combination of both. The story follows 3 very different women: Leda, the wild child party girl, artiste...Saundra, the boss lady...and Annie, the crunchy ray of sunshine. All becoming mommas for the first time. Things are definitely not what they expected when they were expecting. They are guided by Mother Nature, with wit and wisdom, (and drumming). She ultimately teaches them that they need to mother themselves and each other. And most importantly, the crucial lesson that: if momma's not happy, nobody's happy!

You don't have to be a mom to love this show. You just need to have a mom. Everyone seems to find something to connect with in The Momma Drama, with it's themes of heart growth, unmet expectations, forgiveness and community.  And also, there will be wine. Yup, we will be treating you to an eco friendly sippy cup of wine! (We will be making donations to local moms organizations, too.)

As exciting as The Fringe is...the reality is that it is an expensive, not for profit, artistic endeavor. Your donations will go towards: production costs, including the venue, Fringe registration fees, marketing, and housing. It will also go towards the artist of our pheMOMenal new poster! Your kind donation will be a generous contribution to women in the arts and supporting live theater. It will also be a tax deductible, and 100 percent MOMentous in helping us make this happen.
