Hi! My name is Jennifer H. Carey, LMHC. I am a Psychotherapist, Coach, Author and Retreat Facilitator. I combine all of these gifts to create a unique retreat that taps into the power of creative expression and community.
I am organizing our second Weekend of Wonder (WOW) Retreat, an experience that provides participants with a resourced, safe and non-judgmental environment to tap into the power of creative expression. To make this happen, we need to raise $8000.
What exactly is The WOW Retreat?
The Weekend of Wonder Retreat provides the time and space for creative expression. We also provide the materials and resources. And we provide a safe and judgment free zone facilitated by experienced and licensed facilitators. No talent or previous training is necessary for our participants to experience the power and connection of creative arts. The WOW Retreat also takes everything a step further by implementing opportunities that focus on unifying us and helping us all breakthrough the limiting beliefs and mental obstacles that hold us back from healthy relationships, dreams realized, and a life of joy and bliss.
Our September 2024 Retreat will include 3 days of:

Fun in a Judgment Free Zone
What we are doing works
The WOW STAGE in May 2022 proved to fulfill our mission above in so many ways as evidenced by what participants reported:
an increase in connection to people/community, nature, music, and art
a sense of empowerment in using their voice through music
the ability to breakthrough their fears and step out of their comfort zone in order to experience the things that bring them joy
being inspired to use more creative and expressive arts beyond this weekend
Whatever you are able to contribute, this will be your positive impact:
- With $3000, we could offer a 50% discount to 12 participants—making creativity and personal growth accessible to more of our community.
- A contribution of $4,500 would enable us to hire professional, certified facilitators who will ensure each participant a transformative experience.
- A modest $500 can supply enriching art materials for our workshops.
