With exciting new projects in the works for next season, we need your support more than ever so that we can continue bringing the works of artistic voices from all backgrounds to Chicago audiences!
Among our biggest projects is a series that shines a spotlight on Schoenberg's
Pierrot legacy, both in instrumentation and dramatic inspiration. The series features the original
Pierrot Lunaire,
Ross Crean’s
Werifesteria, and a newly-commissioned work by
Liza Sobel. We're so excited for this series, but between securing a venue, commissioning a new work, and all the other nitty-gritties, it promises to be a big undertaking.
We're also returning to Constellation
January 6! Zafa has had some really fun and memorable performances in this space, and we're
so pleased to be coming back for more.
Another exciting collaboration in our upcoming season is our Spring residency with Northwestern University. We'll be working with four NU student composers on their pieces in the week leading up to a
March 14 performance.
Sprinkled throughout our season will also be a handful of our smaller, salon-style concerts, which combine our three favorite things: great music, scrumptious nibbles, and a more intimate space to share with friends.
Your support makes it possible to:
- rent or purchase the music we play for you
- commission new works from talented living composers
- pay hard-working and dedicated musicians
- reach and include more people in our audiences
...and more!
Our goal of including more voices in our music community and performing great new works is so, so important to us, and we appreciate any support you're able to provide.
