Help Triggered Take the Next Step!

Hello everyone!

Thanks to your generous support, Triggered has won 3 Telly Awards and has been accepted in to 3 Festivals. Check it out at triggerstories.com!

In addition to that, I have the opportunity to attend a national conference of TV, studio and streaming platform execs and producers to pitch projects. I want to pitch expanding Triggered into a full length series or Documentary alongside other female forward projects  as I move forward establishing my content development studio where I will continue to develop Triggered and female forward projects that matter.

This has truly been a community project made possible by everyone involve, and we appreciate you!

I am raising funds to be able to afford to attend the conference and to rep Triggered at the film festivals, where I also will network with mental health and film folks who could help expand the project.

You can make a tax deductible donation here: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/developing-female-forward-content-and-productions/general_support

Or you can contribute in exchange for some fun perks like access to my comedy web series and behind the scenes fun here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/laugh-it-up-i-m-gonna-pester-hollywood-peoples/x/324485#/

Great News to Share!

Our project Triggered has received a 2021 Arts Meets Activism from the Kentucky Foundation For Women. Thanks to this additional grant from the foundation and the funds we raised from supporters like you, we are now almost half way through production of the 10 stories from women with PTSD.

Three of the animations are complete with music score and mastered levels , and all of the voice overs are done. Two additional animations are being created at this moment and the rest are waiting their turn. We're making real progress!

We are pretty much funded for this stage, although we could use about an additional $200 to completely cover the finishing of these 10 animations.

Next, we'll be working to raise funds to add to this phase by conducting interviews with experts and extending our project to a proof of concept mini-documentary we can submit to festivals!

Since you've all taken the time to support us financially, I'd like to offer a sneak peak of the first three animations here: https://vimeo.com/showcase/9283745 - Password: Trauma.

Please be mindful of the trigger warnings at the top of the collection.  We'd love to hear your thoughts and words of support and encouragement to pass on to these brave women.

------------------------------------------

Our project now has a lovely website where you can see the whole team involved, behind the scene images, some animation excerpts , some of the impact the project has already had and more!!! Check it out! www.triggerstories.com. Spread the word!

Welcome Valentine Wolfe!Yes, they're a popular goth metal band, but you might not know they're tremendously talented at scoring for video and live events! They've joined the project to score each of the animations with thoughtful music that adds just the right touch! You can read more on our site or visit

How you can help:

Funds:
We can still use help raising funds for the completion of this phase and to start the next!! We have been a mighty force to date thanks to help from all of you!  All donations through the below link are tax deductible and you'll receive an email with your information for tax deductions for 2022!

Time: If you have some time to spare, we might be able to use a hand with research or social media posts or other tiny tasks that fall by the way side. While so many have been involved with the daily operations, the day to day tasks and management come down to one person.

Networking: Do you or someone you know possibly have an interest

in partnering with us to be sponsors or advertisers instead of making a donation? There are so many businesses integral to the solution, our goal is to work as a team to bring this important and powerful tool to life. Do you have connections at art galleries or museums who might be a good venue for the exhibit? Please let us know! You can reply to this email or email jessicainlouisville@gmail.com

It's been a wild ride since we started production in January. I fell ill with COVID and then had to have surgery to remove a piece of glass from my arm. Two actresses also contracted COVID, and our voice over studio shut down for two weeks.  I also juggle other projects and my day job, so I'm so tremendously thankful to the entire crew for pulling together to be flexible and work with me to keep this project on track!

Thank you deeply friends! From the very bottom of my heart. I applaud the brave people sharing their stories, and am forever to grateful to everyone supporting us as we move to make a difference.

Love to you all,
Jessica - Divinity Rose

Update: Thank you for the support for Triggered!

Hi there!

I just want to send a warm thank you to all of our supporters and update you on the project. I'm pleased to announce the project was awarded an additional Arts Meets Activism grant from the Kentucky Foundation for women.

Thanks to this and your support, production has begun. We have not raised the full ideal budget, but we've raised enough to get moving thanks to you!

(Although our first campaign is ended, we are still taking donations here: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/triggered-augmented-reality-installation/campaigns/4481)

Voice over recordings and animations are under way, and I'm in the midst of casting and planning the live action shoots.

There's been a small delay as I'm currently ill with COVID but everything is still moving forward, and I can't thank you all enough for helping us tell the stories of these brave women.

Here are a few stills from the voice over studio with one of our actresses Brandi S. Hill, and the storyboard for one of the animated stories.

Wishing you all the best and so much gratitude for your continued interest and support!

Thank you!
Ask just about any woman you know...
On the heels of the #Metoo movement, mass shootings, COVID, racial profiling and other traumatic events, it is urgent for people to understand PTSD isn’t just something Veterans have and that observed “undesirable” behavioral traits may be trauma response.

There are currently no documentaries about PTSD that do not focus on military veterans. We find this to be a huge gap in today’s needs for the healing of trauma response.

We will spread awareness of what living what PTSD and help available can be like in three phases:

Phase 1 (Halfway finished and this fundraising campaign will aid in completion): A traveling augmented reality art installation that features the voices of women with PTSD with multimedia vignettes that summarize what each woman's trigger is like, the type of treatment she's had and what she does when triggered. Created by a cast and crew of mostly women from Kentucky. (All women who were interviewed about their PTSD remain anonymous and are portrayed by actresses.)

An augmented reality installation means viewers will aim their mobile device at printed trigger images to elicit a multimedia experience on their screen. (The title “Triggered” refers to two things: the triggers that people with PTSD respond to that sends them into panic, defense and/or depression and 2) the photographs and objects that cause the multimedia experiences to display, which are referred to as “triggers” in augmented reality development.)

Trigger images will be spaced around the exhibit location and viewers will use mobile devices to view the placed items. When they do, they will experience flashes of video and audio that will pop up and come to life on screen in the way that unwanted thoughts, images, and memories can pop up within the mind of someone with PTSD.

We have already raised and utilized about $7000 through a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women and personal contributions toward expenditures, which has allowed the pre-production phase (identifying participants, research, interviews, scriptwriting, casting, etc). Funds raised here will be applied toward production and post production, the augmented reality programming. Any excess will be applied toward Phase 2.

Phase 2 (Planned, partially funded): The goal is to use footage from the installation to create a proof of concept mini doc short to submit to Cannes and other festivals to raise funding for a feature length documentary.

Phase 3 (Planned): A feature length documentary about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

While phases 2 and 3 will be dependent upon funding, phase 1 will be completed and traveling by spring 2022.
