Confianza

Valetango company strips Argentine tango to its bare bones, focusing on the dynamic interplay of lead and follow co-creation as the source of a new aesthetic that highlights non-traditional stories. Improvisation is the source of our material in a dual sense: as the starting point of choreography, and as a practice that informs our ethos and is the inspiration of our themes.
 
"Confianza" is a show about Trust. The tension is built by the constant possibility of betraying trust. We trust to risk and once we risk, we trust further. Trust is the first casualty of trauma and, conversely, the most important step toward healing. Trust and the lack of it, is at the base of nurturing relationships and it's tested in relations of power. 
 
Valetango sees relevance on sharing our journey through the search for interconnection, reliance and well grounded trust.
