I am a camera-artist from Washington, DC who travels around the world to experience the diversity of people, sights, and sounds while continuing to delve into the universality of the human experience. Traveling abroad to new cities opens up new worlds that promise fresh perspectives while the old ways of doing and being lurk right beneath the veneer of curiosity. What results are a mix of disrupted habits and patterns, leading to unconscious responses to my new environment. With my latest project Pattern Interrupt, I turn the spotlight on my current fascination with transiting between the familiar and the unknown to explore what we carry forward with us in creating new experiences.
This project is nearly complete and is available for presale to support the costs of acquiring new equipment, supplies for production. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a piece of an exclusive collection of limited edition original concept photography, printed in the antiquarian process of platinum palladium printing on archival fine art paper.
Produced in my darkroom and photography studio, these photographs are painstakingly created by hand, with no print exactly like another because of the individual variations in brushstrokes. Please support this project and help keep the fine photographic traditions of the 19th century great masters alive.
Each of my platinum palladium prints, is handcrafted by me personally in limited editions. It is a completely manual technique with each print considered an original. Similar to a fingerprint, no two handprinted platinum palladium photographic prints are alike. You might find an occasional brush stroke remaining in one of my handprinted pieces, evincing an authentic mark of artistry.
Each print comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity with a serial number to assure that it is an original print.
