OUR MISSION:
Verdant Vibes is a
new music collective and concert series based in Providence that brings together artists and musicians creating new work in a variety of genres and media, acoustic and electronic. By highlighting the diversity of music composition and performance of our time, we seek to eschew perceived boundaries, cross-pollinate ideas and influences, and
build a greater community celebrating the work of living artists.
In six years we have performed music of and collaborated with 118 composers and guest artists, including dozens of world premieres. We have performed at venues including New Music Gathering, PVDFest, Columbus Theater, Southside Cultural Center, and Newport's Firehouse Theater. During the pandemic, we have continued to perform and present new work online, keeping our mission alive while keeping our audience and artists safe. We have documented these performances for your enjoyment and to help the artists promote their work on our
Vimeo channel.
In our seventh season we’re venturing from online performance to hybrid live-stream and in-person performances in safe environments. These include two concerts at the Music Mansion in Providence, an outdoor concert at Roger Williams Park, and a season finale at the newly renovated downtown branch of the Providence Public Library.
This season, we’re collaborating with a Verdant Vibes-record of 30 composers and guest artists from both Rhode Island and all around the world!
We pride ourselves on paying all our musicians and artists. However, our pandemic safety precautions require we keep in-person audiences small, which drastically cuts into our ticket sales.
We need your help to make this ambitious season happen.
Please consider a donation to Verdant Vibes.
All funds raised will go directly towards paying our musicians, guest artists, and production costs.
Thank you for all you do to support Verdant Vibes and our mission to present exciting and diverse new music and art to a broad and inclusive audience.
