From the creative team that brought you Romeo+Juliet, the show named best of Rochester 2016 --
Comes a new production of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth!
Wallbyrd Theater Company* would like to bring an even more ambitious production of Macbeth to Rochester this July and we want to share it with Rochester for free but to do this we need your help.
What we need:
Putting on a show of this size takes resources….
We have already secured the Historic Lyric Theater for performances July 14 - 29, but we still need your assistance funding:
Sets - Scaffolding rental & build materials
Costumes - materials for costumes which match the characters and worlds we are creating
Lighting - supply and effect rental
Properties - materials and specialty objects which actors use onstage
How will we use your money:
We have already secured the venue, a significant portion of our budget. We are seeking donations to help cover the $30,000 show budget, including scaffolding rental, building materials, paint, fabric, clothing pieces, lighting fixtures, special effects, props, marketing, and advertising (online and in-print).
Risks & Challenges:
While all theater carries some risk, we are fully committed to bringing this performance experience to Rochester. Your support ensures that we can make this show the best it can be.
