This August, we’re taking Woodcutter — an autobiographical, one-man show by John Anthony Gorman (Daredevil, Lioness, Blacklist) — to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest and most prestigious arts festival in the world.
Woodcutter tells the story of an only child returning home to Glasgow after the death of his parents, tasked with clearing out a lifetime of memories. It’s a blisteringly funny, deeply personal exploration of grief, identity, and what “home” really means.
After successful runs in Los Angeles and New York, we’re ready to bring this story back to its roots — to Scotland — and share it on an international stage.
But getting to Fringe is no small feat.
We’re raising $25,000 to cover essential costs: venue fees, travel, accommodation, marketing, and production expenses. Unlike many major festivals, artists at Fringe self-produce — meaning this opportunity only happens with support from people like you.
Your contribution directly helps us:
- Bring a deeply personal Scottish story home
- Reach international audiences and industry professionals
- Build momentum for the future life of Woodcutter
All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, making your support both impactful and accessible. No donation is too small. Every dollar helps us pack up this story and carry it across the world — sharing this universal story with new audiences and creating new memories along the way.
