zFestival is a virtual summer music festival dedicated to the creation, rehearsing and recording of new music, entirely online. We are providing free admission for all our participants to join a slate of guest artists that will present on and lead discussions about contemporary themes in classical music and recording technology. With over 80 participants sorted into 34 ensembles, by the end of July we will have facilitated the creation of 34 new works of music to be distributed via Youtube, Facebook and music streaming services.
We need your help to make this happen! Any donations to this campaign will go directly to funding our operating costs, which include:
- Paying our guest artists for developing and delivering a unique session for our participants
- Purchasing recording equipment and network cables to ensure high quality recording and internet for our participants
- Covering software needed to run the festival (Zoom, GSuite, Fractured Atlas)
Donors are an integral part of the zFestival experience; one of our hopes is to facilitate a new generation of artist-patron relationships by connecting contributors directly with the artists whom they support. Any donor of $50 or more will have the option to connect with some of the artists involved in the project, from participants to guest artists to the administrative team. Additionally, please be on the lookout for future donation opportunities, including commissioning new works, funding future concerts and chatting with our participants prior to our Final Gala performances.
Please be sure to follow us on Facebook, sign up for our mailing list and check out our website (zfestival.org) and Youtube page. We will be broadcasting live events throughout the month of July for the general public to tune in, so make sure you are connected to our network to receive updates.
Note: Any donations beyond our goal will be used to pay our generous financial and marketing consultants as well as our administrative team, all of whom have offered their labor without assurance of compensation.
