After the tremendous success of our summer programming (see final results here), we at zFestival Arts have decided to launch a fall intensive -- zFestival unAcademy -- to continue our model of low-cost artist education and creation.  While the total budget for this project is larger than our goal, this campaign is dedicated specifically to raising funds to allow our participants to join us regardless of their economic circumstance.  All funds raised here will go directly to lowering costs for our participants.

During this 7-week program starting October 1st, participants in the unAcademy will collaborate on a series of two projects in a virtual setting: a smaller piece that pushes the bounds of their creative practice; and a large scale, multimedia work, to be released online at the end of November.  To support our participants with the creation of the final projects, the unAcademy will offer workshops and discussions led by guest artists prominent in their fields, ranging from music, technology and entrepreneurship.  We will also feature in-house coaches who will offer weekly seminars to advise on compositional and technological questions.  In the end, the final projects from the program will be released online at a public event for all to experience.

Prominent in our mission of zFestival Arts is a commitment to accessibility of education; providing low or free tuition for our programming grants more people access to knowledge and resources that many would not be able to afford at similar programs, particularly in person ones.  Knowing that diversity breeds innovation, we at zFestival believe that ensuring access for all people is the only way to foster a community truly dedicated to the advancement of art and artistic expression today.

Your gift will ensure that we can pay our brilliant guest artists and staff without cost to our participants.  A typical model for a program like this is to charge tuition of a few thousand dollars.  Knowing many people will not be able to afford a cost like this, particularly when most artists are out of work, we are relying on the generosity of our donors to provide sponsorship opportunities so we can charge little or no tuition.
