A “Lifetime of Journeys is a literary project on the life-changing effects of COVID-19; an anthology of first-person accounts that will help us remember the real people behind the headlines of the pandemic. People interviewed from across the globe on how they withstood the isolation, job losses, relationship, and health challenges. You will be introduced to those who have held the course despite the world at times seeming to crumble under their feet, and learn what inspired or motivated them to get up in the morning, juggle being a parent working from home, or how they coped with saying goodbye to a loved one on an iPad as they lay dying. What allowed some to pick up the pieces of businesses that had taken years, if not a lifetime to build? What was their inspiration and where did their inner strength come from?
You will also be introduced to some, through a friend or loved one, who did not make it, and whose lives mattered and should not be forgotten. What were the gifts and talents that the world lost? What amount of love, tenacity, brilliance, care, gentleness, and dedication will the world no longer benefit from?
The project will take roughly 24 months to complete, comprising roughly of 12-months of research another twelve to draft, and finally, craft a completed manuscript. Interviews will be conducted locally in my home state of Hawai‘i, across the United States, as well as internationally, specifically so that we are reminded that we were never alone in this pandemic.
I do hope you will consider supporting “A Lifetime of Journey’s." I also hope that others will do similar projects to continue to help us remember how life was changed in a blink-of-an-eye, all that we have lost, and all that we have yet to live for!
This book is officially, and forever dedicated to the human race.
With Much Aloha & Gratitude!
