This project is an applied research initiative dedicated to democratizing digital infrastructure for independent filmmakers. Grounded in a 25-year professional history in systems architecture and international film exhibition, we are developing a suite of AI-assisted workflow tools—ranging from automated production scheduling to collaborative archiving—designed to reduce administrative friction and prevent professional burnout.
By fostering a Canada–U.S. research corridor, this initiative serves a network of artist-run centers across nine provinces, providing participants with the technical resilience needed to maintain artistic authorship in an evolving technological landscape. All research outcomes and workflow templates generated through this project are made freely available to the public, ensuring that innovation remains a shared community resource.
