Dancing and creating dance is part of the fabric, which makes me. My choreography expresses the words, thoughts and feelings that I cannot in my everyday life. As a choreographer, I have come to be known for my emotionally driven and gesturally rich dance pieces which have been described as “hauntingly beautiful” and “thoughtfully crafted.” These pieces exist in their own world; they are slices of a life, a snapshot of a moment. My dancers and I bring our own emotional truth into the movements, with the goal of presenting meaning rather than representing meaning. My work lies at the intersection of dance and theater with the movement being specific and purposeful.
