“Life-affirming…an improbably funny piece not just about loss, but about love, hope and redemption. You feel so much better at the end than when you walked in!”
Known on both sides of the Atlantic as "The English American," British writer/comedian Alison Larkin found true love for the first time in her 50’s with an Indian climate scientist who had also immigrated to the US. Then he died. Then something wildly unexpected happened. When Archbishop Desmond Tutu found out about it, he insisted she write this show.
After a short run of sold-out shows in the US and London in 2022-2023, the beloved writer/comedian is taking her show "Grief..a Comedy, “an improbably funny show about love, loss and hope,” on global tour. The tour begins at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2024, continuting through the UK and London via The Soho Theatre, with RBM. The tour then heads to AUS/NZ, India and the US in 2025.
The show is also being made into a book, an audiobook, and an ongoing podcast series. There are also preliminary discussions of recording the show live in NYC for television.
