Subject: Let's GO Highlights! Halfway to goal, three weeks left.... (Musical presents for the holidays!)In this GLOBAL ORCHESTRA update: A crowdfunding campaign progress update -- about halfway to the goal, and -- 1) Let's GO! concert highlights! -- 2) Global Orchestra New York performing ensemble first jam -- 3) Highlights from the 24 Hour Music Marathon -- 4) Give musical gifts for the holidays (TheSingingAction.com)! ** Hello to all donors to my Global Orchestra crowdfunding campaign, I'm writing with tremendous gratitude to all who have been kind enough to donate to launch the Global Orchestra. Because of your kindness, my muscial co-conspirators and I are about halfway to our goal. I believe in the potential of this project to bring some light into the lives of kids, especially in these dark days! The campaign officially runs until December 31st. I'm going to keep pushing. Though the Global Orchestra teaching network will really kick off in 2025, your generous donations have already supported the making and sharing of wonderful music. Beyond performing, many of the musicians in these videos will teach kids through the Global Orchestra network: 1) Let's GO Concert highlights! On November 21st in Philadelphia, some of the most inspiring musicians I know played a concert to celebrate the launch of this project. Watch this collection of clips from the show -- https://vimeo.com/1037420153. You'll love it! 2) Global Orchestra New York performing ensemble first jam On October 13th about half of the members of the still-forming GO New York ensemble met at a studio in Brooklyn to have our first-ever jam. It was a treat! Here are some clips -- https://vimeo.com/1032948971 3) Highlights from the 24 Hour Music Marathon If you didn't make it to my 24 hour online Music Marathon, you missed out. At the end of each hour I welcomed a musical guest (many of whom will be teachers in the Global Orchestra network) Kevin from Zimbabwe, Alice in WonderBand from Serbia, Tanmay from India, and gosh, even some friends from the good 'ol U.S.A. Here are clips from several of the visits -- https://vimeo.com/1037969952. Now I know you've already done your bit to donate, but here's one more way to bring some music into your family this holiday season, while still giving the project a boost: BID IN "THE SINGING AUCTION!" At TheSingingAuction.com you'll meet more than a dozen of my musical friends who are offering musical items for you to grab as holiday gifts...bid to have me sing a global song to your family on Zoom! Bid to have your kids' class take a virtual field trip to Daria's "Music Museum!" Bid on a Balkan music singing lesson with Jelena from Slovenia or a live birthday concert with Kids Music Circle's Noam Brown! Check out the Singing Auction site. Your winning bid will be a donation to the project and also get you something cool. Thank you for your generous support! I know you have so many things competing for your attention nowadays. I'm grateful that you've chosen to pay my musical mission some mind. Jay jay@allaroundthisworld.com http://www.ExploreEverywhere.com http://www.theGlobalOrchestra.org |
