Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help fund a professional studio recording of the first single "To the Edge of Mexico" from my new album "King Cuicatl". The song will be produced by GRAMMY winning producer/composer William Brittelle, and will feature a total of 15 musicians from the GRAMMY nominated Aizuri Quartet, the NYC based Toomai Quintet, the Mexican National Symphony, and high school students from Mexico City's INBAL Institute.
Originally from Cincinnati, OH. I began the project "King Cuicatl" over 5 years ago while living in Oaxaca, Mexico. I started performing it in Oaxaca with a large ensemble of musicians from Oaxaca's indigenous "Mixtec" tribe, later incorporating several orchestras throughout the country including the Oaxaca Symphony, Mexican National Symphony, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City. Following a critically acclaimed national tour yielding several appearances on Mexican national television, in Mexican national newspapers, and on dozens of radio programs, I relocated to New York City to build a new ensemble and begin performing "King Cuicatl" throughout the US.
Now, in an effort to finally record and release the "King Cuicatl" album to the public, my aim is to acquire the funding necessary to record this first single: "To the Edge of Mexico". Upon its completion, this song will be shared with various record labels and arts organizations throughout NYC in the hopes of receiving the support needed from them to record and release the entire 12 song album. Your generous tax deductible donation will help cover the cost of recording this song, including payment for each of the 15 musicians, production and studio costs, and travel between NYC and Mexico City.
