Amanda Spilinga the Company (ASTC) is a New York City based dance troupe founded in 2014 by dancer/ choreographer, Amanda Spilinga. ASTC is about pushing the boundaries of dance by breaking down silos in the dance community and creating truly unique and innovative choreography that forms a genre of dance all to its own. Spilinga uses her background in contemporary dance as the basis for seamlessly blending diverse people, backgrounds and styles of dance. This is possible only through an unprecedented collaboration in the world of dance, joining dancers from New York to Taiwan, students to professionals, and ballerinas to breakers. The company’s goal is to continuously challenge its dancers and members of the community to grow and create beyond their comfort zones.
