About

In-depth reporting of American culture has declined greatly over the past years as magazine and newspaper staffs have shrunk along with ever-decreasing budgets. Due to a lack of resources, extensive reporting on how key issues affect the citizens and their communities goes undone, resulting in a deafening of voices that need to be heard.

The members of American Reportage aim to produce stories of importance that are critical to the country, giving a voice to the people and their communities. As independent journalists, we are unencumbered by the need to continually produce stories that skim the issue at best. We dedicate our time to storytelling that is important and critical to the country.

We believe that a tight-knit group of visual storytellers, collaborating together and with publications and organizations that value this kind of work, can successfully bring reporting that accurately reflects the mood and fabric of the American experience to the forefront of the national dialog.

We will be having our work presented in the news media as well as gallery exhibitions around the United States.
