Choose to Reuse: Breaking Away from a Disposal Lifestyle with Reusable and Sustainable Practices

Anna Kauffman has been producing corporate videos, films and television commercials for most of her career. A California native who is passionate about the environment, she decided to fundraise for a project of addressing plastic pollution and marine debris.

Sea of Changes [working title] Producer, Anna has been picking up marine debris on beaches around the world for as long as she can remember. After an unusually wet and wild winter in Northern California, Anna found herself picking up an inordinate amount of single use plastic on Ocean Beach. Once she joined Instagram she realized she was not alone … others around the globe were finding similar amounts of plastic waste, creating artwork and sharing with like-minded individuals and organizations around the world. The seed had been planted.

Anna plans to bring awareness and change behavior at this critical time in our throwaway society. She plans to create PSAs, a short documentary as well as an educational outreach program using real life champions dedicated to the health of our waterways.
