“Arlington History from the Black Side: Heritage, Public Policy & Community Legacy” will bring the documented history of Black Arlingtonians to life through living history reenactments, community workshops, and public presentations serving residents, students, educators, and community organizations across the Arlington and greater DC region. The program will expand access to Black Arlington history for audiences who have had limited exposure to this material, delivering professionally produced, research-based programming tailored to the needs of each presenting organization. Funds raised through fiscal sponsorship will support actor stipends, production costs, workshop materials, post-event community receptions, ongoing historical research and content development, and a director fee, ensuring the program is financially sustainable and able to serve community venues regardless of their budget.
