I am an artist, and the daughter of artists. There should be no conflict in my identity based on these two facts. But the truth is, I have struggled with these two parts of myself from young adulthood. My film "Artist / Daughter of Artists" (working title) will explore the complexities of growing up surrounded by a culture of expression and dedication to one's art that at times rendered me feeling as if I was invisible. Through self-reflexive and visually rich storytelling, the film will take viewers on a cinematic journey to reveal who I am as an artist, while portraying a deep love and admiration of each of my parents, as people and as artists.
