As the daughter of two artists - the iconic late photographer Larry Fink and pioneering painter Joan Snyder - I embark on a journey of self-discovery to unravel the creative block that has stifled me for years while confronting the mysteries of my past. My story is as much about unearthing archival materials to try and understand who I was as it is about confronting my present-day self; restless in my role as mother, art teacher, and now aspiring independent filmmaker. Central to my story is my mission to more deeply connect with my father.
I am in the process of editing a rough cut as well as planning a few more future shoots.
All donations are deeply appreciated.
My team consists of Producer, Rachel Elizabeth Seed whose recent film "A Photographic Memory" is a New York Times Critic's Pick and Editor, Christopher Stoudt who directed and edited “Four Seasons Total Documentary” (NBC). Current-day footage was primarily shot by myself and Virgilio Aponte. Archival footage was shot by myself and Orlando Richards. Photographs by Larry Fink. Paintings by Joan Snyder. Special thanks to the MUUS Collection, Ropac Gallery and to Martha Posner and Elijah Snyder-Richards, always. A very special thanks to Joan Snyder and Maggie Cammer.
