Awake (A Play with Music) paints a vivid picture of Siyu and Li Jiang's life in a post-apocalyptic world. They dwell in a small cabin nestled within the forest, relying on each other for survival. Linjiang sustains them through hunting and foraging, carefully shielding Siyu from the dangers of the world. Siyu, having lost her past memories, lives under Linjiang's protection, firmly believing that this secluded existence is their best way of life. But does this seemingly harmonious lifestyle conceal untold lies?
The arrival of a fish awakens Siyu's inner voice, prompting her to question the world and seek her own answers. A book, a fable, a fish—these serve as her guides, leading her to explore her destiny and her own "East."
This play makes full use of multimedia techniques, guiding the audience into this unknown forest with the aid of lighting, projections, and sound effects, vividly rendering the world of Siyu and Linjiang.
