About

This rescued 1800's Timber frame barn will host dance and other movement classes, workshops, and programming designed to engage the local community in their artistic and physical practices. The Barn will also be home to a holistic wellness space including acupuncture, massage, meditation and Pilates classes to maintain and promote an active, healthy, physically and artistically engaged lifestyle.

Halfmoon Movement & Healing Arts, Inc. moved to Vermont in 2020, a giant pivot for our business as COVID closed down my dance company, all in person classes and my partner’s acupuncture business. I put all of my classes online and taught as we travelled across the country in our Scamp trailer. The dance classes fell by the wayside, not translating well to Zoom,  but the Pilates, Taiji and Qigong classes thrived and are still going strong three years later, with students participating from all over the globe!

Now firmly settled in Craftsbury Common, with a vibrant community of students and clients, both online and in person, we are creating one last home for our business, the Barn Off the Common. We will be able to expand our offerings with this new home to add artistic vitality and whole-being wellness to our village. Movement classes  primarily for adults will include modern dance, contact improvisation, Pilates mat and machine work and yoga. Healing arts will include Traditional and Sports Medicine focused Acupuncture, meditation and Qigong classes. Additionally the space will offer rental opportunities for rehearsals, music practice, knitting groups, poetry readings and visual art displays.
