About

Bel Canto in Tuscany is a three-week intensive training program for student singers and emerging artists in Greve in Chianti, Italy. Under the leadership and vision of Maestro Giovanni Reggioli, a team of world-renowned teaching artists from Europe and the States offers a uniquely well-rounded educational experience aimed at preparing participants for the next stage of their careers.

Founded in 2016, the program has evolved to include an emerging artists division (under General Director Giovanni Reggioli) and a young artists division (under Oberlin Conservatory professor Timothy LeFebvre).

International participants are immersed in Italian culture while working closely with all of the faculty in daily lessons, coachings, masterclasses, lectures, language classes, and acting classes. Yoga is also available daily to help singers learn to integrate voice and body. Five live-streamed concerts with piano and orchestra performed in-person for Italian audiences at exquisite local venues to cap off the experience with opportunities for participants to apply new knowledge and technique in performance. Concerts are presented in conjunction with the orchestra of the communities of Greve and of Radda, granting participants another vital experience in their formation as singers.
