Between Two Boroughs Productions was founded in 2014 by Jenn Haltman and Becca Schneider. Through empathy, humor, and bold simplicity, we share stories that embrace the impossibilities of life, love, and art. We foster a community of artists who choose to take risks and, through the work, incite conversation about our world. We want you to be a part of that conversation.

Cannibal Galaxy: a love story, a new play by Charise Greene, centers around a group of employees at a Washington, D.C. science museum. What begins as a lighthearted gaze into a typical work week is catapulted into a senseless universe after a random act of violence occurs. We witness these characters struggle to collect the fragments of a shattered world as they strive to return to their day-to-day lives.

An Ensemble Studio Theatre Sloan finalist, Charise’s play was developed by Fault Line Theatre at Xavier University, where the world premiere was produced in September (to rave reviews!) prior to our planned New York premiere in 2018.

We believe that art is a powerful tool for change, and given our country’s current climate of violence, we are eager to bring people together and reflect upon what has become a national epidemic. The recent tragedy in Las Vegas only further underscores our need to produce this play. With each violent act that occurs on our soil, we are reminded how terrifyingly important it is to tell this story right now.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

This is by far our most ambitious project to date, both in size and cost. Our previous productions were built on shoestring budgets via two successful Indiegogo campaigns. This time, we are raising the bar financially: Between Two Boroughs is now a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. This allows us to receive fully tax-deductible donations to the extent allowed by law.
