"Beyond the Frame" is an original one-woman musical show that explores the muses and models in the artwork of Édouard Manet through the eyes of Kristen Lee Sergeant. Fusing personal story, history and imagination, Kristen weaves a spell that's 'better than real' in a truly unique experience of art, performance and feeling.
Your contribution brings us to a recording of the music in 2026, and that much closer to an off-Broadway run in 2027. The songs will be arranged by multi-Grammy Award winner Ted Nash and recorded in NYC, and the production will continue to develop under the direction of Gaye Taylor Upchurch as we approach a theatrical agreement.
With your help, "Beyond the Frame" will begin its life onstage having recorded music that will be the lasting legacy of the show, and we will have everything poised for a successful, long run onstage -- and we'll have a lot of fun getting there together.
