Bijou Film Festival is proud to launch our 2nd year of Bijou Film Festival. This year is an immersive 5-Day Black Film and Music Experience. 

Our annual film festival is seeking to explore the Black origins of various art forms and social advances, while centering the work of Black Queer Women and Trans and GNC Folks/ QPOC, Black Feminists/Womanists (no TERFS) of all gender identifications. 

We invite filmmakers and media artists who fit this criteria, (based on their own self-identification), to showcase films, music videos, or animated shorts utilizing electronic music by Black creatives as theme, soundtrack and/or score. We also invite artists whose highlights electronic music by Black creatives, and offers a creative look at the stories, both real and imagined of Black beings all over the world.

Bijou Film Festival is committed to creating intentional places for Black humans to convene, converse, and create in spaces envisioned, created and occupied by Black people. Our festival reaches out to communities to find films that speak to the global experience of Black people.
