Blood Boys is a short film by Jordan M. Hahn and Madhouse Films. The film explores the real-life phenomenon where wealthy men undergo blood transfusions from younger donors, known as "blood boys," in an attempt to counteract the effects of aging. The script adopts a queer perspective by focusing on two gay men, delving into the complex history of blood sharing within the queer community and addresses themes such as hypermasculinity.
We aim to complete principal photography in June 2024, and all funds raised will go towards cast/crew rates, meals on sets, transportation, locations, as well as post-production costs including editing, sound, color correction, festival submissions, and more. We are an entirely LGBTQ+ led team, and strive to center queer voices in front of and behind the camera.
We aim to premier on the 2025 festival circuit. The short will serve as a proof-of-concept for a feature version of the film.
