About

Founded by Kevin V. Smith and Daiva Bhandari in 2019, Blue in the Right Way is a theatrical production company based in Chicago (USA) and Béziers (France) with a mission to produce stylized and provocative theatre as visual art.

Our debut production, a queer feminist adaptation of Thomas Middleton's WOMEN BEWARE WOMEN, premiered in Chicago in May of 2024. Our second production, a radical reimagining of Max Shulman and Robert Paul Smith's THE TENDER TRAP premiered in July 2025. Our current project in development is a new adaptation of Menander's SAMIA involving an international design team of visual and sound artists.
