“Bolero de Cochereau” is an immersive multimedia experience that explores how the
sensory interpretation of one art form can endow expression in another.
The musical foundation of the installation is an organ improvisation from Pierre
Cochereau, former organist at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The art work - which
consists of painting on canvas, digital art, and projections - provides the audience with
the unique artistic experience of seeing the sound of music, hearing the color of
images, and feeling the space - both aurally, visually, and spatially. The intent is to give
substance to the role our senses play in perceiving the world around us and to the
synthesis of each of those inputs.
With your generous support, I will endeavor to premiere “Bolero de Cochereau” at
Notre Dame Cathedral in 2025. I also plan to offer a US-premiere in New York City
shortly thereafter.
