My proposal involves expanding my own multi-disciplinary art practice into a new and vibrant art studio and art salon in West Palm Beach, FL in a lively collective with other artists, painters, photographers, sculptors and designers. My studio will be open to the public to encourage interaction and discussion about creativity and aesthetics. I wish to continue my active art practice and in addition create an environment for discussion and investigation into art. I'd like to build on the success of a series of talks that I curated "Coffee and Conversations" where I invited artists, art therapists, collectors, interior designers, teachers, professors, a chef and musicians to respond and participate in various panel discussions. The focus is to encourage and expand community in finding their own voice and their creativity. Potential modalities might include a series of public programs, workshops, open studios and/or discussions, or curating an exhibition. Further investigation of my one woman show-"You Complete the Picture"-Whoops, I Forgot to Have Kids would encourage , through readings audience participation in terms of creativity and the role of creativity in healing. My play deals with letting go of regret and reckon with what our own "incompleteness might be. What happens when you don't get the lift we expected for ourselves? Or the life that others expected for us? What do we do with ourselves at that critical turning point. We are handing our audience the art tools to complete the picture ti express their own perspective. My hope is that It would entail creative arts activities and collaboration with other artists.
