The Brazos Valley Youth String Chamber Orchestra, LLC is an organization with four constituent parts: the Parent and Child String Orchestra, the BVYSCO Family Orchestra, the BVYSCO Adult Orchestra and the Brazos Valley Youth String Chamber Orchestra itself.
Our goal is to build a diverse youth string orchestra, with a strong and lasting foundation. We provide support to each parent and child unit via a course of study which includes playing in orchestra and taking private lessons together. Our experienced faculty is focused on teaching, guiding and supporting parent and child units of all backgrounds.
Each week at the group lessons and orchestra rehearsals there will be bonding time for all participants with a snack break scheduled in. I strongly believe that it is this "bonding time" that will build a sure foundation for this endeavor!
Wonderful visiting artists will be engaged to play concerts and give seminars. These performers will work, play and perform alongside the participants to build a strong program.
All participants in the Parent and Child String Orchestra Program will have free tuition in all levels of the BVYSCO. There is a fee for participation in the BVYSCO Family Orchestra, BVYSCO Adult Orchestra (2025-2026) and the Brazos Valley Youth String Chamber Orchestra (2025-2026). To make these programs more accessible, financial assistance will be available in the form of reduced tuition and scholarships as needed.
