The Bronx Film Initiative is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 that teaches filmmaking to youth as a means of creative expression and art therapy. 

With collaboration at the helm of our organization, students will work with each other and media industry professionals to create non- fiction narrative pieces. BFI takes on a holistic approach with our programming, focusing not only on the technical and creative aspect of filmmaking, but also the therapeutic properties of media production. We also provide a medium for film & TV industry professionals to give back to the community.

During these unprecedented times, we've managed to create innovative new ways to keep our students engaged and continuously excited about creative storytelling and filmmaking. Here's a shot of some of our students from Good Shepherd Services having a session with instructor Christina.
