Brooklyn Americana Fest. takes place at five indoor venues and one outdoor: Jalopy Theatre, Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook; 68 Jay St Bar, Superfine, and Dumbo Archway in Dumbo. 

The Tenth Annual Brooklyn Americana Music Festival kicks off at Jalopy Theatre Thursday, September 12th. Opening night is a bit of a benefit for the following three days of free music in Dumbo and Red Hook, where we unveil the new t-shirts, totes, and tank tops - All sales go to support the festival. 

Opening night Thurs Sept 12th 8pm Starring Tyrone Cotton (Louisville KY), Jesse Lenat (Brooklyn NY),  Annie Keating (Brooklyn NY), and Fern Maddie (VT). Em Cee Jan Bell. Pre-show in Jalopy Tavern Eliane Amherd - Swiss born Brooklyn based singer guitarist plays Jazz, Latin, African and Brazilian tunes.

Many festival artists have gone on to play Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, The Grand Ole Opry, and Late night TV.  Voted ‘Best Festival’ Empire State Awards, 2023. Previous winners Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and Celebrate Brooklyn.

BKAMF is known far and wide in the live music community as a trail blazing inclusive and diverse festival. Audiences enjoy at least 60 % women identifying and women led bands, LGBTQ and BIPOC, emerging and established artists. The tenth annual BKAMF presents bands from NYC, Austin TX, Louisville KY, and New Orleans LA.
