Brooklyn Americana Music Festival takes place at five indoor venues along the Brooklyn waterfront. Supported by and in celebration of women artist owned and operated independent small businesses: The Jalopy Theatre and School of Music, and Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook; Superfine, and 68 Jay St. Plus two full days of free music in the Dumbo Archway Plaza under the Manhattan Bridge.
Voted ‘Best Festival’ Empire State Awards, 2023. Previous winners Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and Celebrate Brooklyn.
BKAMF is known far and wide in the live music community as a trail blazing inclusive and diverse festival. Audiences enjoy at least 60 % women identifying and women led bands, LGBTQ and BIPOC, emerging and established artists. The 11th annual BKAMF continues our tradition of presenting Brooklyn bands alongside touring artists from Austin TX, Louisville KY, New Orleans LA, and the heartland.

In 2024 The Tenth Annual
Brooklyn Americana Music Festival kicked off at Jalopy Theatre Thursday, September 12th. Opening night is a benefit for the following three days of free music in Dumbo and Red Hook, where we unveil the new t-shirts, totes, and tank tops - All sales go to support the festival.
