Four Days. Six Venues. One Ticketed Event. Twenty Free Events. 

Brooklyn Americana Music Festival takes place at five indoor venues along the Brooklyn waterfront. Supported by and in celebration of women artist owned and operated independent small businesses: The Jalopy Theatre and School of Music, and Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook; Superfine, and 68 Jay St. Plus two full days of free music in the Dumbo Archway Plaza under the Manhattan Bridge. 

2025 Artists TBA at same time as Arts Council Awards Announcements in June 2025.

In 2024 The Tenth Annual Brooklyn Americana Music Festival kicked off at Jalopy Theatre Thursday, September 12th. Opening night is a benefit for the following three days of free music in Dumbo and Red Hook, where we unveil the new t-shirts, totes, and tank tops - All sales go to support the festival. 

Opening night Thurs Sept 12th 8pm Starring Tyrone Cotton (Louisville KY), Jesse Lenat (Brooklyn NY),  Annie Keating (Brooklyn NY), and Fern Maddie (VT). Em Cee Jan Bell. Pre-show in Jalopy Tavern Eliane Amherd - Swiss born Brooklyn based singer guitarist plays Jazz, Latin, African and Brazilian tunes.

Audiences enjoy at least 60 % women identifying and women led bands, LGBTQ and BIPOC, emerging and established artists. The tenth annual BKAMF presents bands from NYC, Austin TX, Louisville KY, and New Orleans LA.
