About

CabinFever is a live arts company performing new works since 2011, under the artistic direction of Choreographer and Videographer, Elana Jacobs. The Company and Elana have received awards, artistic residencies, and media recognition in different regions of the USA for the creative use of dance, music, art, video and theater within homes, museums, galleries, and other alternative intimate venues. In those settings and with those artistic tools, CabinFever seeks to reach new audiences for dance, while sharing personal and universal themes with them, such as the roles of homes, families, architecture, communities, generational traditions, historical connections, as well as honoring individual achievements, adjusting to changing locations and attitudes, together with the dichotomy of inner feelings and outward behaviors. CabinFever collaborates with families, architects, curators, arts organizations, communities and other artists as the sources of their impetus and inspiration for creation, while giving back to them through fundraisers and improved community awareness. In recent years, CabinFever has also presented and posted videos about its creative processes through documentaries, a series of curated monthly Artistic Video Insights, and posting excerpts from its rehearsals and performances on its website, as well as on Instagram, Vimeo, and Facebook.
