HISTORY/BIO
HEIDCO is an emerging NYC-based dance company founded by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Caitlin Adams in April 2018. HEIDCO, officially formed under Caitlin Adams Studio LLC in June 2019. HEIDCO launched on the occasion of their debut work, DISPLACE ENGINE, selected for Gibney Dance NYC's Performance Opportunity Project. 

In two years, the company has presented work at venues throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn completing 11 shows including festivals, commissions, and full evening-length work.  Caitlin Adams | HEIDCO has collaborated with fashion photographers, musicians, set designers, film directors, and designers.  They have received three NYC space subsidy grants in 2019.

Southern California native, Caitlin Adams is an interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, performer & teacher. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Recently, Adams was featured in an interview with Bomb Magazine. She is a member of Asylum Arts Network, and her work has been presented at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Prospect 4/New Orleans Art Biennale, REDCAT, Gibney Dance NYC, Triskelion Arts, Bates Dance Festival, Machine Project, Highways Performance Space LA, Human Resources LA, Bates Dance Festival, NYC Poetry Festival, Printed Matter, and NY Art Book Fair.
 
MISSION/VISION/VALUES
HEIDCO is composed of professional dance artists in the NYC dance community, working with choreographers in concert and commercial dance sectors. Caitlin Adams | HEIDCO has an interdisciplinary, creative team both in LA and NY. Adams’ aims to create large-scale performances experiential, immersive, and cinematic in nature. Adams’ envisions large-scale collaborations incorporating diverse artists across disciples, genres, backgrounds, cultural and sexual identities. Adams’ envisions attaining global connections and a presence in arts platforms worldwide.

HEIDCO performances explore movement, theater, and bodily puzzles, and the company ethos encourages a constant flow of in-studio conversation. HEIDCO is currently creating works in dialogue to build a cumulative portrait of collective action: a tangible manifestation of our mission for social equity and participation
 
The space of HEIDCO encompasses members of a constituency housing a space of empathy, experimentation, embodiment, strength, instant composition and visual imagery. We are leaders, supporters, followers, and rebels, ecstatic, tragic and invincible.
