"Because Of You" is a coming-of-age with themes of: Familial Expectations, Sacrifice & Loyalty, Racial Inequality, and Identity.
Logline: A driven Colombian high school student prepares for a high-stakes campaign speech in her race for class president. But when her cousin, the new kid, is unfairly framed and sent to the principal’s office, she faces a difficult choice: stand by her family or, for once, put herself first.
The film will be shot February 14th-18th in Milford, Pennsylvania. The budget is $10,800 and it will be distributed to lodge and feed the crew as well as to transport them from New York City all the way to Pennsylvania. We will also use the money for Production Design, costumes, Crafty, and equipment.
