"Hi, I'm Caitlin Kelley, a violinist based in the Pacific Northwest! It is an immense joy to announce the inaugural season of the Cannon Beach Music Festival - this has been a long-held dream project of mine, and I'm so excited to finally have the opportunity to share music with the community in Cannon Beach, Oregon this summer. I hope you'll take a moment to read about the festival and consider supporting our first season!"
The Cannon Beach Music Festival (CBMF) is a classical chamber music project based in a beachside town on the Oregon Coast. Cannon Beach is a major summer tourist attraction in the Pacific Northwest, drawing over a million visitors each year. The natural beauty of the coast, combined with the charm and vitality of the town, make it a perfect setting for a summer music festival.
The heart of the Cannon Beach Music Festival is rooted in community; the purpose of the festival is to bring joy, inspiration, and live music to the town of Cannon Beach and the vibrant community that gathers there each summer. Open to all – from families and tourists to local music enthusiasts – CBMF will present annual summer seasons featuring chamber music concerts and other community events.
The first season of the CBMF will take place at the Cannon Beach Community Church from August 29-30, 2025 and will feature two classical chamber music concerts and one free family program. The concerts will include well-known works of the classical repertoire, as well as exciting new pieces by living composers and a celebration of folk music from around the world.
